PCT

PCT or Person Centered Therapy, is a form of talk therapy that places you, the client, at the heart of the therapeutic process. The primary goal of PCT is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly and authentically. In this client-centered approach, the therapist serves as a supportive guide, fostering an environment of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness. You are empowered to set the pace and direction of your therapy sessions, allowing you to delve into the issues that matter most to you.

Key features of PCT include:

  1. Unconditional Positive Regard: You will experience acceptance and understanding without judgment or criticism. I will respect your individuality and create a nurturing atmosphere where you feel valued and heard.

  2. Empathy: I will actively listen and strive to understand your feelings and experiences from your perspective. This empathetic connection forms a crucial foundation for building trust and promoting self-exploration.

  3. Client-Centered Approach: The focus is entirely on you. Through introspection and self-reflection, you'll work towards personal growth, increased self-awareness, and finding your own solutions to challenges.
