My Clinical Approach

My clinical style is founded on PCT, which is a client-centered approach. This means I seek to understand you as an individual and provide unconditional support, with out judgment during our sessions. Every single one of my clients receives this from me.

The root of all negative mental health stems from unprocessed emotions, events and thoughts. I utilize talk therapy, EMDR, IFS and EFT to assist you in processing difficult thoughts, events and emotions.

Limiting beliefs about ourselves and the world stem from these unprocessed emotions, events and thoughts. These beliefs limit our ability to be productive, happy, and at peace. I will help you identify, eliminate and replace these limiting beliefs, with empowering ones.

Common limiting beliefs include: I am not good enough, I am not safe, It's not okay to feel, I cannot trust and I am powerless. But there are many more.

I utilize DBT when necessary to assist you in developing critical life skills to help you manage your thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

I utilize mindfulness to help you first become aware of your emotions and thoughts and then eventually to help you to be at peace with them.

I utilize neuroscience to help you have a deeper understanding of what goes on inside your brain and body. I will introduce you to some basic concepts, such as neuroplasticity, which is your brain's ability to change and adapt throughout life. This means that no matter who you are, change is always possible!
